10: I've used up all my sick days... so I'm calling in dead.
9. I foiled a terrorist attack on the way to work today. I know Jack Bauer would be there, but I need to rest.
8. I thought that I'd be more productive if I didn't come in today.

6. I can't come in to work today. I went skydiving over the weekend and my chute didn't open.
5. I can't come to work today (Wednesday) because my father is going to die tomorrow.
4. I can't come to work today (Friday) because my father did not die on Thursday. He's waiting until Monday.
3. I will not be to work today as I have a headache and do not want to give it to anyone else.
2. I dropped my car keys in the snow and I'm waiting for the temperature to warm up so I can find them.

1. My wife's going to get pregnant and I want to be there.
