Pardon me if my daily events is not something that you look forward to reading, but this i really have to tell!
During the children's nap time, Principal said to me (her exact words) " What time are you going home today? Can you follow me to Bras Basar Road?" Nat: "Oh. I'm doing up teaching aids, why do you wanna go there?" Principal: "I need to change some of the things i bought! Quick go get your ez link card!" Nat: "5 minutes Ms Lim, i need the toilet".
Before you know it, i was at the bus stop outside of school waiting with her. We had our casual chats and sooner than we thought, we got off the Public Transport and were walking to Art Friend. We lugged all the baggaged (exchangable goods of course) that was nicely wrapped by our Admin staff and found for a cashier that was able to enjoy cool breeze from the air con despite the crowd and peak hours. I am typing the same exact words as spoken. Its funny how i remember it so vividly.
Me: "Hi, I purchased 121 pieces of paper but it was the wrong type. Can i exchange it?
Oh! By the way i took out two pieces to cut!"
Cashier: "Haha! I so lazy to count! Hahah! 100 AH?? ok ok i doing counting now!"
Me: "So is the number of paper correct?"
Cashier: "No i think you take out 6 is it?"
Me: "You must have made a mistake why don't you count again?"
Cashier lady starts counting.... (she's taking forever by the way)
Cashier: oHh! ya haha! i count wrongly sorry ah! is 120 piece ah! okay, i serve this customer first come come! what you want to buy?? (she asks the young lady right behind me)
So, in order to save time, my principal and i walked around to pick up items. Once done, we went to another cashier and had to explain all over again about the exchange! To make it all better and LESS time consuming! he decided to count the exchange items (the 120 pieces of paper) again.
CASHIER 2- decides to take his own sweet time to count and counts the paper three times due to human error!
(PS: tHE NUMBER OF papers were written with a red marker on the plastic sheet by Cashier 1 mind you!)
The whole process of waiting was truly an extremely long wait plus Cashier Number 2 was extremely rude.
Part 2 will be continued...
stay tuned!
